Dominick James DeGasperi

  It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dominick James DeGasperi. Dominick passed peacefully January 11th 2023.

  Dominick loved sports, Giants, Yankees, Nets and Devils and  enjoyed playing golf. Dominick was an avid hot rod enthusiast who built many muscle cars and taking them to car shows. Kind, funny, smart and sarcastic rounded out this beautiful human being.

  Dominick was born June 19, 1945 in Yonkers, New York and graduated in 1963 from Saunders High School. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran who served his country when needed. An electrician in his early years of life out of Local 3 in White Plains, NY. Dominick then became a successful business owner of a pizzeria in Barnegat, NJ named Schianos Pizza for 25 years. 

   Dominick was a very strong believer in his faith. A man of God who visited and participated often in the church he loved The Church of Saint Pius X, Forked River.

   Dominick is survived by his sister Helen Pizzi, wife Wendy DeGasperi, children Michael DeGasperi, Joseph DeGasperi, Dominick DeGasperi, Justin Cappelli, Andrea Cappelli, grandchildren, DJ DeGasperi, Gianna DeGasperi, Joanna DeGasperi, Michael Cappelli, Noah Drummond, Nathan Drummond, Joshua Cappelli, Carlee Cappelli, and Brody Cappelli.
