Denise L Shimonis

On Friday, December 24, 2021, Denise (Feinman) Shimonis, loving wife and mother of four children, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, passed away at the age of 70.
Denise was born on December 27, 1950 in Rahway, NJ to Catherine Feinman.  She received her Bachelor's Degree from Rutgers University and briefly taught high school English.  On November 30, 1974, she married Joseph Robert Shimonis.  Together, they raised four children: Tracey (Husband, Doug), Christin, Egan (Wife, Marie), and Holly.  Denise is also survived by four grandchildren: Vanessa (Husband, Matt), Elizabeth, Kaia, and Jamison, as well as two great-grandchildren: Bodhi and Caleb.
Denise had a passion for animals.  She was a dog mom, survived by Presley and Murphee, and loved to watch the birds and the squirrels.  She dedicated her life to raising her family, was an avid cook and baker, and all that knew her, knew she loved country music, cold weather, and Christmas.  She also tremendously enjoyed trips to Vermont and looking at fall foliage and snow falls.   In lieu of flowers please make  a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .  The family is requesting that everyone attending the visitation and funeral kindly wear a face mask.
