It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Denise Ann Oppelt, a devoted wife, cherished mother, treasured grandmother, beloved daughter, loving sister and dear friend, who left this world peacefully on April 30, 2025 at the age of 66.
Denise spent the majority of her life in the Twp. of Washington before relocating to Bayville. She dedicated her life to nurturing those around her with unconditional love, grace, and warmth. She was the heart of her family, a steadfast partner to her husband Jack, with whom she shared forty four beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, compassion, and enduring strength.
As a mother, she was a guiding light—gentle, wise, and endlessly supportive to her children, Michelle and Michael Oppelt, as well as to Michael’s wife Nicole and Michelle’s boyfriend Sal. Her love knew no bounds, and her legacy lives on in the values she instilled and the memories they now hold dear.
To her grandchildren, Julia, Madelynn, Goldie, Campbell and Michael, she was simply “Grandma”—a source of comfort, joy, and endless hugs. Whether baking cookies, reading stories, or offering words of encouragement, she made each grandchild feel uniquely cherished.
Denise had a quiet strength and a selfless, generous spirit. She found joy in the simple things—boating, sharing meals, and making everyone feel at home. Her kindness rippled outward, touching the lives of all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, children, grandchildren, and extended family, who will carry her memory in their hearts always.
All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and share in remembering the remarkable woman she was.
Though she is no longer with us, Denise’s love will remain a guiding force in our lives. She will be missed beyond measure and remembered always.
