Deacon Michael Maione Obituary

Deacon Michael "Deacon Mike" Maione, 88, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025, in Bayville, New Jersey. A devoted servant of faith, family, and country, he leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and spiritual guidance. Born on July 24, 1937, in Newark, New Jersey, Michael grew up with strong values that would shape his life's path. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Radioman Second Class aboard the USS McGowen. His time in the military instilled in him a deep sense of duty and discipline that remained with him throughout his life. Michael was ordained as a deacon and faithfully served his community through his ministry. Known affectionately as "Deacon Mike," he touched countless lives with his kindness, compassion, and unwavering faith. His spiritual leadership was a source of strength and comfort to many. He was a dedicated husband to his beloved wife Patricia, who preceded him in death.

Together they built a loving home and raised five sons: Michael (Sharon), Mitchell, Mark (Cyanne), Patrick, and Perry. Michael was also a cherished grandfather to seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. His family was the heart of his world, and he took immense pride in their lives and accomplishments. Those who knew Deacon Mike remember him as spiritual, loving, kind, and faithful-a man whose presence brought warmth and reassurance. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched both within his family and beyond. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire all who were blessed by his presence.
