With great sadness we announce the passing of David William
Supsie who lost his battle with cancer on June 12, 2021.
He grew up in the Bamber Lake section of Lacey Township. David was
predeceased by his mother, Olivia Rose Supsie, and his father, William
John Supsie. He was also predeceased by his grandmothers, Mildred
Supsie and Rose Vischia. He is survived by his brother Christopher
Supsie and his wife, Jacquelyn Supsie along with their three children
Lyndsey, Brian and Brendan. David also leaves behind many friends
who cherished their relationship with him.
David graduated from Brookdale Community College where he played
baseball. David went to the Junior College World Series and was a well
respected pitcher during his time on the field. His career was
predominantly spent in law enforcement as a corrections officer at the
Trenton State Prison and later with the Lacey Township Police
Department as a patrolman.
Dave had an intense interest in music and enjoyed selling vinyl records
where he affectionately referred to himself as “The Record Hog”. He
shared many intense conversations with family and friends about music,
movies, and sports. He could tell a story and quickly gather the attention
of the room. His delivery of a good story and humor made him fun to be
with.
David will be greatly missed, but always remembered for his courageous
battle with cancer. In lieu of flowers, in David’s memory, to honor his
fight with cancer, the family asks that donations be made to Ocean of
Love. This grassroots organization helps families of children battling
cancer.
