David Speer was born on June 18, 1962 in East Orange, NJ to Earl and Dolores Speer. Dave passed on July 21, 2025 at the age of 63.
Dave was a skilled carpenter and a beloved family man. He graduated from Toms River North High School in 1980. He dedicated four decades to perfect his trade and became a master carpenter, resulting in a successful and reputable business. He left an everlasting mark on the countless homes and structures he built throughout Ocean County.
Outside of his profession, "Tiki" Dave was a devoted father, grandfather and friend. He found joy in helping others, spending time with loved ones, riding his motorcycle, camping and sharing his knowledge and skills with others, demonstrating his desire to teach his community.
Dave's generosity, honesty, and passion will be deeply missed by his family, friends and those whose lives he touched along the way.
He is survived by Sandra Speer, Mother of his children, two daughters: Brianna Dunnett, husband Richard Dunnett and son Cole; Taylor Mancini, husband Matthew Mancini and son Hudson. His siblings; Earl, Gregory, Pamela and Valerie along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by Life Partner Dawn Lani and her children, Crena, Janel (Pete), Tara (Jesse) and Anthony; Grandchildren: Raelynn, Jade, Quinn, Julian, Noah, Charlotte, Abigail and Ethan.
There will be a celebration of life for Dave held at Sweetwater Marina & Riverdeck, Sweetwater NJ on Sunday July, 27th at 3:00pm. In honor of Dave, please wear any Harley Davidson or motorcycle attire.
