Colleen Gail German

Colleen (nee Bugasch) German, 66, of Lanoka Harbor, N.J., passed away on Thursday, July 7th, 2022 with her children by her side.

Colleen was born in Jersey City, N.J. and lived there for many years before moving to Ocean County, N.J. She was employed by the Toms River Board of Education as an administrative secretary for many years before retiring in 2019.

She was predeceased by her parents, Elio and Patricia Scarpa, and her sister Debra Stark.

She is survived by her children, Vanessa German of Bricktown, N.J., and Andrew German of Barnegat, N.J. She also leaves behind three siblings: Patricia Vangelakos of Jersey City, N.J., Kevin Bugasch of Oviedo, Florida, and Elio Scarpa and his wife Nicole of Toms River, N.J., as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 2-6p.m. on Wednesday, July 13th at Layton’s Home for Funerals, 250 Lacey Rd. Forked River, N.J. 08731. Funeral Service will begin at 9:00a.m. on Thursday July 14th, 2022 at Layton’s Home for Funerals. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Brielle, N.J.
