Charles W. Graessle Obituary

Charles William Graessle III passed away on May 6th 2024 at the age of 88. He was a man loved by all and went by many endearing names such as Charlie, Chuck, Chas, Daddio and Chasaroo. Charlie was a proud Air Force Veteran, and had a successful career as a highly skilled tool and die specialist, owning his own fine jewelry manufacturing company. He passed on his passion for vegetable gardening from his time spent on his grandparents' New Vernon Farm. Charlie enjoyed his yearly hunting trips with his son, Steven and his friends. As an avid sports fan, you could find him shooting hoops from his teens to well into his 70s and watching any sport with soccer being his favorite.

Charlie was a devout family man, always putting them first. He could be found in his leisure chilling with his loved ones, a cold beer in hand and lunch at the Deck. In his final years he spent time at the Regency, where he enjoyed making many new friends.

We thank him for all the beautiful memories and he will always be with us in our hearts. We love and miss you more than you know.

Surviving is his beloved sister Florence; beloved children from his first marriage, daughter Michele, her husband Michael, granddaughter Kristyn, her husband Lee and great grandson Samuel (lovingly referred to as Sammy Wammy); son Steven and grandchildren Mitchell, Gillian and Nicholas; beloved step-sons from his second marriage, Robert, his wife Margaret, and grandchildren Amanda and Gaven; Stephen and his partner Barbara; Eric, his wife Danielle and granddaughters Brianna and Nikolette; along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Predeceased are his parents, Charles William Jr. & Helen Graessle, sister Katherine and husband Hank Schneider, and his beloved wife of 26 years Carol "Cookie" Graessle.

Charlie's family would also like to give a special thanks to Nicole and Dorothy for the love and care they helped provide in his final years.
