Carolyn J. Knam, 77, of Manahawkin passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 9, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.
Born on July 17, 1943 to Frances and Edward Rosar, Carolyn was the eldest of 4 siblings. She married Lawrence Knam on August 31, 1968. They built a life with their 3 children in Forked River, NJ. Carolyn and Lonny are now reunited in the holiest of matrimony as he greets her in Heaven.
Carolyn had many jobs in her lifetime, but her greatest was being a mother and a grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were what kept her fighting for so long.
All who knew Carolyn will remember her kind heart, giving nature, and her infectious laugh. When it came to family, she would give her last penny to help out and if her last penny was gone, she would charge it!
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lonny.
She is survived by her children Kevin Knam and daughter-in-law Debbie Churchill, daughter Kelly DiPaolo, daughter Kerry Eck'Art and her husband Art, her brother Edward (Jerry) Rosar and his wife Barbara, her sisters Kathie and Barbara Rosar, her loving nieces and nephews: Jessica and Shawn Montague, Colleen Rosar, Tara Myers, and Martin Tyrrell. She is also survived by the greatest lights in her life, her grandchildren: Shaylea Johnson, Elyssa Eck'Art, Darby DiPaolo, Ty Eck'Art, Landry DiPaolo, and Ridley DiPaolo, and Kyrsten and Kylie Churchwell and her nephew Connor Bachman.
Carolyn's family would like to express their deepest gratitude to wonderful staff at SOMC for their kindness, honesty, empathy, and sympathy.
