Audrey Danker

Audrey Danker, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2024. She was born Audrey Longo on July 7, 1932, in Scranton, PA. Audrey later resided in both Union City, NJ, and Newark, NJ, before settling in Waretown, NJ, 26 years ago.

Audrey was the loving wife of Walter Danker Sr. (predeceased) and a devoted mother to Denise DeAlmeida and her husband Antonio Jr. (predeceased), Walter Danker Jr. and his wife Donna, and Jolene Fonseca and her husband Antonio (predeceased). Sister-in-law to Theresa Bolton and her husband Stan. Audrey cherished her role as a grandmother to Antonio III, Karen, Andrea, Anthony, Noelene, Fil, Jayson, Neuza, Michael, Juliet, Jeffrey, Brandee, and Steven, and took great joy in her 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Audrey was an active member of the Township of Ocean Senior Advisory Committee where she formed cherished friendships and spent many enjoyable hours. She will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and her ability to make everyone around her feel loved. May she rest in heavenly peace.

A funeral mass will be offered at the Church of St. Pius X in Forked River, NJ, on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 9:30 AM. Entombment to follow at Ocean County Memorial Park in Waretown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
