Arthur T Gildea

Arthur "Artie" Thomas Gildea, 83, of Forked River, passed away peacefully at home, Monday, January 9, 2023.

 Artie loved fishing, wood-working projects, the NY Giants and all things John Wayne.  He was an avid storyteller and remained a character right to the very end.  He was a proud Veteran of the Armed Forces, serving for the United States Army.  He worked for many years for New York City's Department of Sanitation.

 He was proud to be Irish, proud to be a grand-father and loved by a large extended family.  Artie was pre-deceased by his wife Pat (Mary) and son Brian.  Remaining family members are son, Steven and daughter, Cathleen.  Artie had three grand-children, Thomas, Olivia and Sophia.  Edward Bentlyewski, Robert Blackwood and Lisa Kyrioglou are among his children's spouses.  We love you Dad.  Say hi to Mom, Brian and the whole clan for us.
