Anna DeTroia

Born in 1930 Anna Baldino DeTroia returned home to the Lord on May 21,2024 at the age 94 where she was reunited with the love of her life Anthony, her parents Agostini and Concetta Baldino, her son Joseph and her infant daughter Mary.

Anna was born and raised in Newark NJ where she attended Central High School. Shortly after, she married her high school sweetheart Anthony. They lived in Newark for many years where they raised their family. In 1973 they moved to Lanoka Harbor NJ where she would spend the rest of her days. Anna had a love for flowers and gardening, a passion she passed on to her children.

Anna will be loved and missed by her children and their spouses. Patricia and Thomas Banks, Theresa and Matthew VanDeWater, Maryann and Steve Wheeler and her daughter- in- law Tricia DeTroia. her grandchildren Cristi Laudisi, Jason and Katie VanDeWater, Matthew VanDeWater, Kailee DeTroia, Kyle Wheeler, Michael Wheeler, Joseph and Kate DeTroia, Brenna DeTroia and Dave Hughes and Tyler Wheeler., and her adored great grandchildren, Jason VanDeWater, Nicole VanDeWater, Hunter Hughes, Paisley Hughes, Peyton Hughes and Natalie DeTroia and many nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased in death by her brother Barney and Theresa Baldino, sisters Agnes and Antoinette Baldino and Carmela and Joseph Arminio. A special thank you to Maria Pacindova who took care of Anna like she would her own mother.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday May 28th at Layton's Home For Funerals, Lacey Rd Forked River from 1pm to 5 pm. A mass to celebrate Anna’s life will be on Wednesday May 29th at St Pius X Church, Lacey Rd at 10am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital or The Tunnel To Towers Foundation
