William J. Neumann, Jr. 60 of Lanoka Harbor, NJ known to all as Bill.  Bill put up a good fight against brain cancer until he couldn’t do it no more. Bill passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family.  He was born in South Amboy, NJ, until his family moved to Forked River in 1969.

Bill was employed by T & M Associates for 27 years as a Principal Engineering Technician.  Bill absolutely loved his job and enjoyed being around his co- workers. He served his country from 1975 to 1979 in the United States Coast Guard, stationed in Sandy Hook, NJ.

Happily married to Kathy for 26 years and a proud, loving father to Ryan (20) and Dylan (16) and of course his dog Scout.   Bill was predeceased by his father William Sr. in 2002.  He is survived by his mother Juanita and two sisters, Juanita and Ed Spratford of Manahawkin, NJ and Linda and Rich Naumann of Calabash, North Carolina.  Several nieces and a nephew. 

Bill was a Fireman for Lanoka Harbor Fire Dept from 1981 to 1985.  Bill worked tirelessly as a volunteer for Lacey Little League for many years.   He would be down at the fields early every weekend to help get the fields ready for days games.  In April 2016, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame.  In the early years Bill also helped with Pop Warner, he helped coach 2 season of flag football.  Bill was always there for the kids, not just his boys but for all, he just wanted them to have fun and play.

 Bill would always spend time with his family.  Having catch in the backyard with the boys, fishing, or walking the dog.  You would always find Bill helping someone, either snowplowing the neighbor’s driveway, doing a plumbing job or helping Kathy with PTA events.   He was an avid 3 Stooges fan and can recite any Looney Tunes cartoon.  Bill loved traveling to Disney.
