Karen Klein Koster, 71, of Barnegat, NJ, passed away Monday after a courageous battle with Brain Cancer.
She was born on March 24,1948 to her predeceased parents, Woodrow and Frances Klein.
She lived in North Bergen, NJ, until her family moved to Saddle Brook, NJ, and later graduated from Saddle Brook High School in 1966.
Her husband George can easily recall the day they met on July 15, 1965 in West New York. "She was at a stop light and I engaged her in conversation. On our very first date, when I met her mother, she said she knew I was going to marry her daughter." After waiting for George to return from the Vietnam War, they married on June 22, 1968.
As the years followed, they had three beautiful children whom Karen loved deeply; Renee Depillis (Troy), Michele Koster, and Robert Koster (Brittany). They raised their children in Waldwick, NJ, for eighteen happy years before relocating to Lacey Township. For several years, Bluffton, SC, was also a place where they resided. Karen quickly adapted to the Southern Lifestyle and made many dear friends. Karen was always laughing, the life of the party, cheering on the Cowboys, socializing, dancing, and being with her family and beloved dog Creed.
