On Friday, February 1, 2019, Joe Deuchler, husband, father, pop pop, brother, & son, passed away after a brave fight with cancer at the age of 60. Joe will be forever remembered by his family as a devoted family man.
Joe was born in Sussex, New Jersey on November 3, 1958. He graduated from Newton High School in 1977and attended Morris County and Ocean County Community College. Joe moved to Forked River in 1980 and worked at Oyster Creek Nuclear Power Station for 16 years and most recently transferred to Underground Residential Department with JCP&L, Farmingdale, NJ.
On June 23, 1984 he married his loving wife, Patti Piekenbrock. They lived in Lanoka Harbor for 34 years where they raised two amazing sons, Joseph and David.
He was predeceased by his father, Joseph W.
Surviving are his wife, Patti, his son, Joseph M. and finance' Jackie Crankshaw, his son, David and his wife Jamie, two grandchildren, Joseph B and Shea; his mother Christine, his sister Debbie and her husband Elroy Wittrien, brother and sister-in- law, Fred & Donna Piekenbrock and nephews, Mark & Greg Wittrien, Carl & Kyle Piekenbrock.
