John J. Westcott passed away on July 16, 2017.  John was a Veteran of the US Navy from 1960 to 1963.  He was 17 when he enlisted.  During that time he met his bride to be, Norma, and spent 57 amazing years together.  They settled in Staten Island where John worked for Lucent Technology for 30 years.  They relocated to Forked River where he was an active member of the Lacey Elks, Moose, and VFW.  He was the bar manager of the Lacey Elks for 6 years, and was awarded Lifetime Member and Elk of the Year.  John was dedicated to volunteering for the Elks.

John is survived by his wife, and soul mate, Norma; daughters Cynthia Murphy and husband John, and Deborah Mallozzi and husband Richard; grandchildren Peter, Shannon and husband Tom, Richard, Christina, Steven, and Joseph; and great-grandchildren Rylee, Emmalyn, Allie, and Garrett.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Handicap Children and Special Needs at Lacey Elks 2518.
