Jeffrey John Mattis, 66, passed away suddenly, on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at Cape Coral Hospital in Florida.
Born in Trenton, he attended Saint Anthony’s grammar and high school graduating in 1971. He was an avid fisherman and a member of the Elks, Moose, and the Holiday Beach Club. After retiring from the Department of Corrections in Yardville, he spent his time between Barnegat, NJ, and Pine Island, FL.
He is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Dolores Mattis; and his favorite brother in law, Robert (Arkie) Arcadipane.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Marie; four brothers and their spouses, Michael and Nancy of Pueblo West, CO, Peter and Joanne of Hatteras, NC, Kevin and Margo of Florence, NJ, Christopher of Bordentown, NJ; two sisters, Susan and Frank Tesauro of Lambertville, NJ, and Mary Arcadipane of West Trenton, NJ; a brother in law and his wife, Thomas and Kathy Delaney; along with several nieces and nephews; three great nephews; two great nieces; cousins; and many dear friends.
