It is with great sadness that the family of Frances C. Verdolina announces her passing on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at the age of 84.
Frances (Fran) is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Carl G. Verdolina, as well as by her mother Rose, her three brothers Thomas, Salvatore, and Joseph Crivello, and her son-in-law Joseph Yorkanis.
She is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughter Cynthia Trevisan and son-in-law Carey, her son Russell, her grandchildren Heather Alyse Yorkanis, Jennifer Nicole (Yorkanis) Radon and her husband Tommy, Russell Vincent Verdolina, Jake Tyler Verdolina, and her two step-grandchildren, Jennifer and Deborah Trevisan.
She is fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Fran was raised in Middlesex, NJ, and lived in South Plainfield before settling at the Jersey Shore. She was a member of the Women’s Club of Lacey, the Lacey Library, the Girls State Scholarship Committee, the Red Hats, and countless other organizations throughout her life. She was an avid reader, artist, pianist, and mahjong player. She had a flair for the dramatic, like so many of her family members, and regularly performed with the Merilee Singers.
Through the years, Fran was employed as a Librarian for the AT&T Corporation and a Sales Specialist for Macy's in Bridgewater. Later, she owned American Sportsman Bait & Tackle in Manahawkin with her loving husband, Carl.
Fran, a 20-year cancer survivor, had a positive outlook on life and her faith in God never wavered, even in the most trying of times.
She will be remembered for her laughter, strength of spirit, sense of style, Easter Egg Hunts, Disney trips, perfectly “undercooked” brownies and legendary Kahlua cake, her love for entertaining, her compassion for those in need, and her most precious memories with family.
