I spent Thursday morning looking at old photos of Mom. My favorite was a 5x7 image of her as a ten year old. I was looking at her eyes and wondering what she might be thinking. Like most kids her age she may have been thinking of a bright, unlimited future. But, as we all sooner or later find out, the unlimited part just isn't so. Was she thinking she would become a mother to 10 kids, have 17 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren? What do you think? Or live through a great depression, and a world war? Despite all that Mom was a survivor and leaves a legacy of a thriving family. She remained positive throughout her later life. I don't believe I ever heard her say an unkind word about anyone. She was a good listener and always gave her best council. She was our Mother. We will miss her. Love always, Your proud son, Joseph
