Claire Anne Erb, 82 of the Waretown section of Ocean Township, passed away on, November 15, 2017, at Community Medical Center, Toms River.

Claire was born on, August 10, 1935, in Jersey City, NJ.   She graduated nursing school from Bergen Pines County Hospital in Paramus, NJ and practiced for a short time as a LPN nurse.

She enjoyed being a stay at home mother and raising her four children. Later, Claire and her husband, Robert, co-founded their family business of A’s Home & Garden Center. They also enjoyed life part-time in Naples, Florida.

Claire will be remembered as a wonderful, loving, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Robert J. Erb; four children, Robert (Kathy) Erb, Steven Erb, William Erb, and Nancy (Dave) Horton; twelve grandchildren, Lauren, Brett and Travis Erb; Ryan (Samantha) Erb and Jessica (Jordan) Krzeczkowski, Thomas, Heather and James Erb, Eric, Chelsea, Olivia and Emily Horton; five great-grandchildren, Maximus and Hannah Erb, Thomas Erb, Jamison Erb, Trey Krzeczkowski and one on the way.
