Claire A Snegon, age 90, of Forked River, formerly of Rahway died Monday at Tallwoods Care Center, Bayville.

Mrs. Snegon retired in 1984 as an assistant to the tax collector from the City of Rahway. She was a parishioner of the Church of Saint Pius X, a member of the Red Hats, Ladies Auxiliary of the Lacey Elks all  of Forked River. Also a very active member and avid card player of the Pheasant Run Community, Forked River.

Predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1993.

Surviving are her children and their spouses Joseph and Michele Snegon of Lanoka Harbor, Sandra and Stuart Knorr of Forked River, Roy and Debbi Snegon of Virginia and JoAnn and Dan Martin of South Carolina; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
