Our beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend to many, Bertha T. Cobb passed into the arms of the Lord on November 21, 2017 surrounded by her family at the age of 91.

Bertha was born on September 6, 1926 in Manhattan, NY to August & Josephine Schreiber.  On May 28, 1951 she married James J. Cobb.  They were married for 61 years before his passing in December of 2012.  They resided in Congers, NY for 35 years before moving to Pheasant Run in Forked River, NJ in 1986.     Bertha worked for many years in the Clarkstown Central School District Office in New City, NY before retiring in 1985.  She was a communicant of St. Pius Church in Forked River, and volunteered in their thrift shop for many years.  She was also a member of many clubs in Pheasant Run including ceramics and “Busy Fingers” and a member of the Lacey Democratic Club.

Bertha is survived by her two daughters Rita-Ann Bergholtz  (Robert McDevitt) Deborah (Thomas) Bicknell; two sons, James J. (Ellen) Cobb and Patrick J. (Cristy) Cobb.  Sister Rita (Donald) Dube.    10 Grandchildren – Shannon (John) Marciano, Stacy & Ashley Berholtz.  Thomas (Melanie) Bicknell, Jessica (Gerald) Nugent, Melissa (Douglas) Muller, Lauren & James R. Cobb, Caitlin & Courtney Cobb and 9 Great Grandchildren – John T., Luke & Matthew Marciano, Gerald Jr., Myra Rose & Jane Noelle Nugent, Alex Olavarria & Isabella Bicknell and Greyson Muller.
