Arthur J. Krause Jr, 50, of Forked River, known by friends and loved ones as A.J. passed away on June 6th, 2017.

AJ had an extensive career in the military and law enforcement that began in 1985 as a Search and Rescue Swimmer, followed by service as a firefighter and EMT and retired in 2006 from the United States Marshals Service.   As a result of his generous spirit and engaging sense of humor A.J. was loved by many. A.J. opened his heart and married Beth Panico on December 17th 2015 and became stepfather to son Christopher.  A.J. was passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and will be forever cherished by his wife, Beth, Children Damian & Christopher, parents, Arthur and Peggy Krause, his Aunt, Pat Hilken, cousins Vinny and Kelly Hilken as well as many friends.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Tuesday June 13, 2017 from 6-9pm at Layton Funeral Home – 250 West Lacey Road Forked River, NJ 08731.

In lieu of flowers donations to The Children’s Specialized Hospital, Toms River would be appreciated.
