Alphonse A. Adinolfi, 92, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at home.
Born in Jersey City, he resided in the Whiting section of Manchester Township before moving to Ocean Gate.
Alphonse was employed as a machinist with D.S. Plumb Co., Newark before retiring 30 years ago.
He proudly and honorably served his country in the U.S. Marines Corp during World War II.
Alphonse was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars where he attended the Whiting Memorial Post #8745.
He was an avid bowler; also enjoyed playing Bocce and Shuffle Board; and loved making bird houses for family and friends. Alphonse was a quiet, loving, and sweet soul, always welcoming everyone he met. He loved life and food was another passion of his.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lena in July of 2009.
Surviving are his loving children, Robert and daughter-in-law Kathy, Ocean Gate, Richard and daughter-in-law, Stemmie, Scottsdale, AZ, and Rosemary Adinolfi, Bayville; 7 grandchildren, Annamaria, Robert, Tiffany, Adam, Luke, Ahmed, and Summit; and 7 great-grandchildren, Anthony, Alex, Dylan, Anaxander, Caliope, Aleena, and Malia.
