Glen Seidel Obituary

Glen Allen Seidel aged 67 of Waretown, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 22, 2024.

He was born in Newark, NJ on October 2, 1956 and is preceded in death by Herbert (Seidel) and Dolores (Nee Donnelly). He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Kathleen Seidel. Daughter Stephanie Seidel and son-in-law Ramon Malave Jr. Son Glen Ryan Seidel and daughter-in-law Kara Seidel. Grandchildren Ramon Luis Malave III, Zavier Reed Malave, Zoe Allena Malave, and soon to arrive Audrey Ellen Seidel.

He was a graduate of Central Regional High School (Bayville, NJ) and Ocean County Vocational Technical School (Toms River, NJ) And has been an active member of Operating Engineers Local 825 for over 40 years. He was involved in multiple social organizations which previously included Lacey Elks and Lacey Moose and currently the Holiday Beach Club in Waretown, where he was a long-standing member of the board.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and cooking, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He loved animals, especially his dogs which were all rescues. He was a hardworking man who was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone.

A visitation and service will be held on Saturday March 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Layton's home for Funerals (250 W. Lacey Rd. Forked River, NJ 08731) Followed by a celebration of life from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at The Waterfront (361 E Lacey Rd, Forked River, NJ 08731)In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to •Monmouth County SPCA •David's Dream and Believe Cancer Foundation.
