In Loving Memory of Donna Marie Carlson

(January 27, 1961 - March 7, 2024)

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Donna Marie Carlson of Bayville, New Jersey, on March 7th, 2024, at the age of 63. Born on January 27th, 1961, to Rosario and Angela Tumminia, in Brooklyn, New York, Donna was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her. Surrounded by her immediate family, she passed away in her home, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and unconditional love.

Donna was a graduate of Tottenville High School, Class of 1979, and went on to embrace life with an open heart and unwavering faith. On October 6, 1985, she married her life partner, Arthur Carlson, and together they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and cherished moments. Donna was a devoted mother to Nicholas (born on March 2nd, 2000) and Andrew (born and adopted on February 4th, 1992), offering them a world of love, guidance, and support. She was a cherished older sister to Salvator Tumminia and a beloved daughter to Angela and Rosario.

In addition to her immediate family, Donna held a special place in her heart for her lifelong friends with whom she shared countless memories and she held another special spot for her many nieces and nephews.

Donna’s passions were as vibrant as her spirit. She found solace in music, reveled in the joy of dancing, and held a deep faith in God. Animals held a special place in her heart, and her love for nature seemed endless.

As we bid farewell to Donna, we celebrate her life with love, laughter, and shared moments. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched, leaving behind a void that can never be filled.

May her soul rest in peace, and may her memory continue to inspire us all. Donna Marie Carlson will be incredibly missed, but her golden heart will forever illuminate any life that she has touched.

Her final resting place will be Ocean County Memorial Park (280 Wells Mills Rd, Waretown, NJ

08758) with her service and entombment being on Monday, March 11, 2024, at noon.
