Robert W. Swain, 85, of the Lanoka Harbor section of Lacey Township, died Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Debora Heart and Lung Center, Browns Mills.

He was a district supervisor with Jersey Central Power and Light, Berkeley Township.

Proudly and honorably, Robert served his country during the Korean War serving in the Air Force.  Both of his surviving children are ex-Army and his grandson, Timothy just enlisted in the Air Force.

Born in Red Bank, he grew up in Hightstown, NJ before moving to Lanoka Harbor in 1979.

He was a communicant of the Church of Saint Pius X, Forked River.

Robert is preceded by his wife, Wanda R. Swain; daughter, Christina M. Weck, and son, Jonathan W. Swain.

Surviving are his children, Thomas R. Swain and Regina A Rhoa; a granddaughter, Samantha L. Swain; grandsons, Timothy R. Swain, Liam H. Weck and Bergen L. Weck; sisters, Margaret Mundras and Esther L. Evernham; also surviving, his longtime partner of 28 years, Sandy Hynes.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Robert, would be appreciated to the Purple Heart Foundation.
