Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Patricia (Pat) was born in Newark NJ and relocated to Kearny, where she lived most of her life before retiring to Lanoka Harbor. Pat was employed by the Town of Kearny from 1988 until her retirement in 2009. She was Assistant to the Recreation Director and the Senior Clerk in the Department of public works. Pat also served as secretary to the Kearny Urban Enterprise Zone from its inception until she retired. In her earlier years she served as Kearny Second Ward County Committee for eight years and Chairman of the Kearny Democratic Organization for four years.   She was also a devoted member of the Franklin School PTA for 12 years where she advocated for children and teachers.  She organized the PTA march to support raising the minimum salaries for NJ teachers.  Pat was best known for her love and devotion to her family, her huge heart and caring manner.  She was a champion for anyone in need.

Pat was predeceased by her parents Frank and Josephine (Dolly) Adamo, and her brother Philip Adamo.Pat is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Manuel (Manny) Trueba, of Lanoka Harbor.  Her beloved daughters Tina L. Trueba of Basking Ridge, Tricia A. Mattia and her husband Phil of East Hanover and Tracey J. Mursko and her husband Jerry of Bayville. Her three cherished grandsons Anthony Manuel Mursko and Matthew Joseph Mursko and Matthew Manuel Mattia.  She is also survived by her brother in law, Mike Trueba and his wife Anita of Brick, sister in law Maria Rodriquez of Little Falls, her “chosen sisters” Lydia Perez and her husband Joe of North Arlington and Rosemary Robertson of Lakewood, her “Angel from God” and “Kidney Sister” Diane Beard and her husband Michael of Wall and her “surrogate” daughter Dina Kaytor of Little Falls, her Godson Joseph Perez, Jr.  Pat is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.
