Pasquale Mastroviti, 84, of Toms River passed away in his home October 16, 2017, after a long struggle. Born and raised in Giovinazzo, Italy, he moved to Carteret, NJ after getting married where he and his wife, Maria, lived for 54 years and raised their family.
He was a member of Holy Family Church before moving to Toms River. He loved his American citizenship and his time in Carteret. He was a self-motivated fabricator, always inventing and finding innovative ways to improve his home and family life.
His true passion was his wine making, which he loved sharing with everyone he knew. Pasquale worked for various companies including Reynolds Metals, Laser Diod and Woodbridge Development Center.
Pasquale is survived by his wife, Maria Pozzolungo Mastroviti, to whom he was married to for 57 years; children Sabina Kelley and husband Patrick of Plano, TX; Josephine Dickhaus and husband James of Bayville, NJ; Angelo Mastroviti and wife Susan of Budd Lake, NJ; Gina Keeports and husband Daniel of Hatfield, PA.
His proudest moments were spent with his grandchildren: Michael and Angela Kelley, Gina and Margaret Dickhaus, and Angelo and Nichole Mastroviti.
Also surviving are his siblings still residing in Italy: Maria DeSantis, Anna Lepore, Nicola Mastroviti, and Gaitanella DeBernardis.
