Geraldine Shea Jaekel, 89, of the Bayville section of Berkeley Township, passed away, Saturday, May 6, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

Geraldine was born in Newark, NJ, and raised her family in Kenilworth, before moving to Bayville in 1976.

Surviving are her beloved husband of 67 years, Fred Jaekel, Jr.; 3 loving sons and daughter-in-law’s, Frederick III and Isabel, Brandenton, Fla., William and Gerry, Bordentown, NJ, and Jeffrey and Robin, Manahawkin, NJ; and her cherished grandchildren, Alison, David and his wife, Lisa, Ashley, Brielle & Brandon.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated, Monday, June 5, 2017, 11 am at Saint Barnabas Roman Catholic Church, Bayville, NJ.  Layton’s Home For Funerals, Forked River, are in charge of arrangements. For more information and to leave condolences for the family, please visit laytons.net
