Emil A Oppici, age 86, of Forked River died Friday June 9, 2017 at home.

Mr. Oppici was born in West New York, formerly of Ridgefield before moving permanently to Forked River in 2002. He was employed by the Ridgefield Public Works Department as a painter retiring in 1998. He was a volunteer Fireman for the Ridgefield Dept., parishioner of the Church of Saint Pius X, member of the Old Guard of Forked River and the FishHawks all of Forked River.

Mr. Oppici was a proud Republican and former member of the Ridgefield and Lacey Township Republican Clubs.

Surviving his wife of 62 years June; two daughters Karen O’Shea and her husband Michael and Laurie Koppe; two sons and their wives Peter and Julie Oppici and Mark and Caroline Oppici; three grand-daughters Amy, Therese and Kristen; great-grandson Colin; three sisters Marie Matchoc, Virginia Thorsen and Geri Prall
