Charlotte, what a truly beautiful woman. She was an amazing friend to my mother, a wonderful wife to her husband and an amazing mother and grandmother to all of her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all and certainly never forgotten. I still carry many homemade Momentos Charlotte made for my mother. I will always treasure them and keep them close to my heart. My sincerest condolences go out to George and all of Charlotte's children and grandchildren. I know that she will be missed every day from now until forever.

Charlotte Dear,
I remember the many Christmas holidays when I would make a cheese cake for your family and how absolutely beautiful your homes were decorated, your handmade gifts of ornaments, quilts and baked goodies of lace cookies and the macaroons you used to make for my dad (he loved them so and always looked forward to them every year).
I remember when Lisa and Cathy were attached at the hip and would have sleep overs and the very special summer Gary and I took them to Florida. Cathy was such an angel and I appreciated your trust in us taking her on vacation to Disney. That was a fun time.
Our friendship was 41 years but will continue even though we are on different plains. I will always be grateful for having you in my life.
Rest in peace, my friend, until we see each other again.
To George, Cathy, Lisa, Diane and Greg, you will always be in my heart and prayers.

To the Broome and Piercy Families,
I'm so very sorry to hear about Charlotte. We were in Miss
Costello's Office Practice Class together learning to be secretaries. I have only fond memories of her great smile,
laughter and friendship. She was very popular in school with her outgoing and good personality. We were so proud of her when she became Miss Ocean County also. Please accept our deepest sympathy. jSoooo sorry, Pat and Russ Clatts, Rehoboth Beach, DE

Oh Mrs. Broome (aka Mrs. Yellow),
There are so many adjectives to describe my heart after hearing of your passing. So many years have passed yet my memories stay intact. I remember Sunday church and then Munchkins. Summers at Great Adventure and the beach (ice cream included). Trick-or-treating two days in a row. Your spaghetti sauce which I still have not been able to replicate. Cheeseburgers, fries, and strawberry shakes. Buying fish for the tanks at the fish store in Silverton. Barry Manilow, (that just popped into mind). The clipping of the cartoon (next to the phone?) of the woman telling her husband you have not said three words to me all day, he responds "I Love You". "The Pit" and always wanting to flop on those white couches. This memory you may not smile at; climbing on the roof, kicking down the snow to make you think it was snowing. Cathy and I thought it was funny at the time. I still smile at it. And the Snoopy ornaments I carefully unwrap, hang and wrap up again for next year. I could go on and on......

I do, of course, send my sympathies to Mr. Broome, Cathy, Lisa, Diane, Greg and their families. I thought they would like to know you and your family have always and will always have a place in my heart. AND YOUR SMILE. Classic, kind, beautiful. Well, again, too many adjectives to list.

I will end with there is truly no better place for you to be than in Forked River, in your home, with your family. But God made different plans for you. I do know where ever he has you and whatever you will be doing the sunshine will be bright yellow and your nights filled with tootsie rolls. Of course you can have tootsie rolls in the day too. :)
Love you
Lisa

I am so very sorry for your loss. Charlotte was one of the most thoughtful people I knew. I was always amazed by the beautiful notes and handmade gifts she sent celebrating life-changing events with me and my family. She was an inspiration for my practicing calligraphy and keeping up with my gardening. We were fortunate to have had her in our lives. My thoughts and wishes are with you and your family.
