Betty Kossak, 92, of Forked River passed from this life on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. Betty was born and grew up in Elizabeth, NJ and enjoyed many years of summers at the Jersey Shore before moving to Forked River in 2006.

Betty was a wonderful, giving mother and wife and deeply devoted to her Catholic faith. She was always there for her children and their friends and the backyard was a gathering place for fun and food!

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Joseph, her mother Genevieve, father Thomas, sisters Hedwig, Fanny and Stella and a brother John.

She is survived by her daughter Linda and son Ronnie, both of Forked River and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

She deeply loved her family and her extended family at Whiting Dialysis Center who cared for her over the past 8 years.

 In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Betty’s name to the Children’s Specialized Hospital in Toms River, NJ.
