Rida Clark, 84, of Forked River, New Jersey passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and loved ones in her home on May 26, 2017.
Born in Newport , Rhode Island, the daughter of the late Theophile and Mary Edna (Boudreau) Laferriere. Rida married her long-time husband, Bob Clark in 1950. Together, they moved to New Jersey in 1955 and in 1966 to England, where they lived in Kingston-Upon Thames. The trip across the pond afforded Rida the opportunity to travel the world, embarking on glorious trips to France, South Africa, Greece, Singapore and other destinations. Returning to New Jersey in 1973, Rida picked up her academic life, gaining her GED, and then continued on to nursing school where she graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse. After 22 years as an LPN at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, New Jersey, Rida retired to Forked River with Bob. During their 66 years together they raised six children with dedication, grace and love.

Rida is predeceased by her infant-daughter Diane, and survived by her children, Mike (Cynthia), Geoffrey (Kristina), Deb Serillo (Bo), Brian (Lenora), Michelle Piraneo (Joe) and Ian (Mariah). brother –in-law, Duke, sister, Dorine Paton and brother Norbert Laferierre and many nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her 13 loving grandchildren, Carolyn, Melissa, Michael, Andrew, Maxwell, Denis, Samuel, Janine, Benjamin, Katherine, Brian, Mariahclaree and Michelle.
Rida’s passion was cooking; being known as the “Kitchen Queen”, Rida loved seeing the faces of all of her long term loving friends of the NJSFWC Women’s Club of Lacey as she shared her prized recipes.
In lieu of flowers, Rida would like donations in her memory to the Lacey Food Bank.
